A new documentary called Tending the Garden made it's premiere in Covelo at the Library Commons last Friday. The film weaves the stories of three regenerative cannabis farms who integrate practices into their gardens that sequester carbon and improve life on the planet. Covelo's Blaire and Daniel AuClaire of Radicle Farms were one of the families featured.

California’s Governor Gavin Newsom issued a proclamation declaring October 10, 2022, as “Indigenous Peoples' Day” in the State of California. Community members in Covelo got together at the Round Valley high School to celebrate.

The Nome Cult Walk is an annual trek that happens each September from Chico to Round Valley in memory of indigenous people who were forced to walk the trail in 1863.
