Mendocino County Public Broadcasting KZYX&Z is a voice for the people in Mendocino County. We are an NPR station that provides coverage of local issues. We bring local news, culture, and music to the county and beyond. We strive to inform the community while becoming an essential part of the local safety net. Most of our funding comes directly from you, the listener. Support KZYX&Z by becoming a Member for $60. Or, like many of our Members, make an additional donation.

Why Become a Member?
The single largest portion of our income comes from our Members. We are funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Underwriting, sponsorships, grants, and special events. But, it is direct contributions from Members that make up the bulk of our funding. Sustaining the operation of this station includes our satellite stations representing our county in Talmage, Fort Bragg, and Willits. Your contribution goes to all aspects of our operating budget: personnel, rent, equipment, programming, insurance, towers, repeaters, and all of the many expenses that are necessary to run this station.
Financial support entitles an individual or family to KZYX Membership. As a Member, you can vote for our Board of Directors. We encourage members to attend their public meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. See the Board of Directors page for meetings, notes/ minutes from past meetings, and more.
We welcome donations on every level. A basic membership is $60. We accept cash, credit cards, checks, and money orders. Checks can be made out to Mendocino County Public Broadcasting. If you would like to become a Sustaining Member a monthly payment with be drawn from your credit card or bank account. Contact us at any time to renew your membership or update your payment information.
Mendocino County Public Broadcasting is a non-profit 501 c3 organization. All donations are tax-deductible. We send out our tax letters in January every year.
It is MCPB policy to never, for any reason, give out information about our Members. We don’t share your name, address, phone number, or email. You can share your contact information and preferences when you complete the Membership form.
