The Mendocino County Herb Guild Coast Chapter is pleased to announce we will be hosting the Wellness Wagon in the medicine garden at Xa Kako Dile.
The Wellness Wagon is a mobile herbal health and education service created by the Mendocino Community Wellness Collective, a team of herbalists, massage therapists, and nutritionists. They offer herbal consultations and assist community members dealing with stress and physical ailments such as respiratory illness, digestive issues, and support for injuries. Consultations and health education and herbal remedies are offered on a sliding scale, or in exchange for donations and trades. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
The Wellness Wagon has been making the rounds throughout the county this summer including Willits, Laytonville, and Covelo. “We are so excited to bring it to the Mendocino Coast community," said Karin Uphoff, Director of MCHG Coast Chapter. “It helps expand on what we are doing with the medicine garden at Xa Kako Dile. We grow medicinal herbs and create healing products to share. The Wellness Wagon provides an opportunity for herbal education and the means for people to incorporate plants into their own self-care. Even if you aren't in need of a consultation, come by to walk in the garden and learn more about the plants that we grow there.”
The Wellness Wagon will be open 11:00am to 2:00pm
Saturday September 27th
Saturday October 4th

IZ Jazz, the duet of Ira Rosenberg and Zida Borcich, bring to their performances engaging interpretations of Jazz Standards from the 30s, 40s, and 50s; some Blues numbers; a show tune or something a little nutty tossed in once in a while, all of which they spike with their relaxed, erudite, playful small talk about the tunes they choose. They treat every song as the story it’s meant to be—the lyrics and melodies, so packed with feeling, humor, heartache and joy. IZ Jazz delivers the groove and intention of each one authentically, artfully, soulfully, feelingly.
