While teaching art in Goleta, her Summer Solstice poster design earned her Summer Solstice Artist of the Year. She went on to create three separate parade floats. Caroline ended up turning her attention to murals, and between jobs she set up an oil painting studio at home. Our event highlights how grazing animals can be crucial for mitigating devastating effects of wildfire. Hopland Research and Extension Center has been using sheep to graze their land and has seen significant results, and we're here to share that with the community! The day will consist of free, light breakfast bites in the morning, a guided walk around the property to view the sheep grazing in action, and a variety of activities for young children to older adults!
This event is great for families and members of the community that want to get more involved in wildfire safety and be connected with nature! We are also inviting attendees to picnic on the preserve at the end of the event.
