We’ll meet in the children’s room for doggie cuddles, information sessions with shelter volunteers and staff, and the opportunity to meet your new best friend!

Welcome to the 2026 Farmers Market Reading season! The Ukiah Branch Library invites families and folks of all ages to visit our reading station at the Ukiah Farmers Market every Saturday, May through October. This longstanding, volunteer-run program provides an hour of age-appropriate read-alouds to market goers from 10 – 11 a.m., weather permitting. We hope to see you there.
Please note that rain and/or temperatures exceeding 95 degrees Fahrenheit will cancel Saturday’s Farmers Market Reading Time. A free community event put on by Madam King Presents & Full Circle Productions celebrating all who have served and/or fallen for our country. We bring a variety of musical experiences from rock to blues. We have playing for us Crimson Revival, Blue Luke, The Downbeat Crowd, Post Modern Prometheus, and more. Sound and engineering by Royal Sound and Lighting. Food and craft booths with beer and wine being sold by the Lions Club of Ukiah. Come out and enjoy the fun.

ST. MARY’S SCHOOL INVITES COMMUNITY TO ANNUAL FAMILY CARNIVAL St. Mary of the Angels Catholic School will host its annual on Sunday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., inviting families and community members to campus for a day of food, games, entertainment, and student performances. The carnival, which is open to the public, will feature food trucks, an inflatable obstacle course, a dunk tank, and a variety of carnival and lawn games for children and families to enjoy. Admission is free, and wristbands will be available for purchase for games and attractions. A special highlight of the day will begin at 1:30 p.m., when guests can enjoy students’ musical performances and take part in the class project auction, a tradition that showcases student creativity while helping support the school. “We’re excited to welcome the community to campus for a fun day that celebrates our students and brings families together,” said Stephen Hammerle, St. Mary’s School Principal. “The carnival is a wonderful way to enjoy time with friends, support our school, and make lasting memories.” In addition to welcoming attendees, St. Mary’s is also seeking vendors for the event, particularly food vendors and children’s activity vendors, including face painters, balloon artists, and other family-friendly attractions.
