The Ukiah Branch Library invites all children and young adults aged 5 to 17 to join us in our 37th year of hosting the Kids’ Farmer’s Market! This annual summer bake sale is designed as a learning opportunity for young farmers and entrepreneurs to learn the skills of sales and bartering, cash-based math, design, gardening, and display with the intention of creating, growing, marketing, and selling handmade and/or homegrown products. All items for sale must be handmade, in whole or in part by the children.

This year’s market will be held on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon starting on June 17, and vendors will set up their stations on the grassy areas of Alex Thomas Plaza. Vendor parking is available in the parking lot behind the Conference Center. Set-up is from 9 to 10 a.m. Vendors may not set up before 9 a.m. The final market of the season will be Wednesday, August 5.

There is no limit to the number of participants, and while families are encouraged to participate, children are expected to manage their own vendor stations. Children under age 12 must be always accompanied by an adult. Please note that the market will be canceled on days when the temperature exceeds 95 degrees Fahrenheit during market hours.

La Biblioteca Sucursal de Ukiah invita a todos los niños de 5 a 17 años a unirse a nosotros en nuestro 37.º año como anfitriones del Mercado Agrícola Infantil. Esta venta anual de pasteles de verano está diseñada como una oportunidad de aprendizaje para que los jóvenes agricultores y emprendedores adquieran habilidades de venta y trueque, matemáticas con efectivo, diseño, jardinería y exhibición con el objetivo de crear, cultivar, comercializar y vender productos artesanales o de cosecha propia.

El mercado de este año se celebrará los miércoles, de 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., a partir del 17 de junio; los vendedores instalarán sus puestos en las zonas verdes de la Plaza Alex Thomas. Hay estacionamiento disponible para los vendedores en el lote situado detrás del Centro de Conferencias. Los vendedores no deben instalarse antes de las 9 a. m. El horario de instalación es de 9 - 10 a. m. El último mercado de la temporada tendrá lugar el miércoles 5 de agosto.

No hay límite de participantes, y aunque se anima a las familias a participar, se espera que los niños gestionen sus propios puestos de venta. Los menores de 12 años deben estar acompañados por un adulto en todo momento. Tenga en cuenta que el mercado se cancelará los días en que la temperatura supere los 35 °C durante el horario de mercado.
