The 33rd Annual Oyster Festival

The 33rd Annual Oyster Festival
Arcata Main Street is thrilled to announce the return of the Arcata Bay Oyster Festival to the Arcata Plaza on Saturday, June 10th, 2023. The event will run from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. and is FREE for all.
Now in its 33rd iteration, the Oyster Festival returns to its roots on the downtown Arcata Plaza in 2023. There will be food vendors of all types, with many showcasing oysters locally-grown in the Arcata Bay. We will also feature local brews and fine wines to wash down those culinary delights. Live bands and DJs will get the crowd moving, and the Kids Zone will ensure smiles for all attendees. Also returning this year are the traditions that have made the Oyster Festival an iconic cultural event in Humboldt County, including: The Shuck and Swallow Contest, The Oyster Calling Contest, and the Best Oyster Contest. Artisans from across Northern California will be showcasing their handmade creations. With a Kids Zone, great local art, beer, wine, food, music, and OYSTERS, there is truly something for everyone.
Arcata Main Street is a small 501-3c non-profit working to create a vibrant downtown Arcata by fostering business vitality and producing cultural events for the people of Humboldt County. All monies raised are reinvested into the community with events scheduled throughout the year.
