Soroptimist Annual Paul Bunyan Labor Day CRAFT FAIR

Soroptimist Annual Paul Bunyan Labor Day CRAFT FAIR

It’s Labor Day Weekend!! On your mark, get ready, shop in Fort Bragg!

A favorite Paul Bunyan Days event is the two-day CRAFTS FAIR sponsored by the two local Soroptimist clubs. The fair is Saturday and Sunday, at the CV Starr Community Center, 300 S. Lincoln St, Fort Bragg (end of Maple Street). Doors open at 10am.

This is what’s known as an artisan fair, as everything is handcrafted. Other fairs may offer items that are mass produced or made overseas, but not this one.

Annually there are as many as 80 booths, selling all sorts of handmade items, including: jewelry, clothing, art, handbags, quilted items, leather and wooden items, plants and bulbs, stained-glass, pottery, kids’ clothes and toys, ironwork, home goods, herbal products, soaps, rugs and wood carvings. There are also massage and food vendors and many other fascinating artist crafts for you to explore.

The money earned from the fair goes to support Soroptimist projects to assist women and girls, including college scholarships, breast exams, safe harbor sources, as well as adult and youth projects that serve our communities both locally and globally.

For more information about grants and scholarships or how you can help, see www.si-noyosunrise.org.
