Got a kid with big energy? A flair for the dramatic? Perfect. Willits Community Theatre’s Gateway to the Stage Summer Camp starts June 29 with classes and a culminating production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical Jr., directed by Joni McLeod, with musical direction by Abigail Strock. Camp students will study song, dance and acting and then enjoy roles in the play. Enrollments are filling quickly, so don’t wait. The camp and performances take place at the Allen Garcia Auditorium at Willits High School June 29 to August 9. Head to wctperformingartscenter.org and click "Summer Camp" to grab your spot.

In June Partners Gallery is showing the work of Pamela Hahn.
In this exhibit Hahn further explores her love of collage combined with encaustic paint. She has sourced elements from her stamp collection, fragments of family correspondence and pages from a
disassembled centuries-old dictionary and child’s reader.
Her paintings reflect her fascination with the ever-changing qualities of her garden and coastal environment.

The show opens June 11 and continues through July 6.
There’s a Second Saturday Meet the Artist June 13, 5-7pm.
The gallery is closed July 4th.

Travel back in time and down the aisle at the Kelley House Museum during “Tying the Knot: Bridal Fashion Unveiled.” Featuring archival photographs, artwork, and historic wedding dresses worn by Mendocino brides from the mid-1860s to 1914, this exhibit showcases evolving trends in bridal styles: from a woman’s “Sunday best” dress to sequins and lace, from bright colors to pure white. You’ll even learn about a few Mendocino love stories along the way. Exhibit runs June 4, 2026 – August 31, 2026. Hours: Thursday – Monday, 11am – 3pm
Opening reception: Saturday, June 13th, 4pm – 5:30pm

MAKERSPACE: ALTOID ALTARS
A Hands-On Program
Friday, June 19, 2026, at 3 PM

In need of some tranquility this summer? Join us at the Ukiah Branch Library on June 19 from 3 – 5 p.m. for a time of contemplation and reflection as we build Altoid Altars. These portable mini altars, created with 3D mixed media collage elements, can represent memories, celebrations, loved ones, healing, or whatever your imagination desires. Bring images (2” x 3”) and any tiny treasures you’d like to add to your altar. All other supplies will be provided.

The Misfits (1961) starring Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, & Montgomery Clift. Directed by John Houston. A brilliantly strange and striking Western that focuses on the lives of four loveable misfits who embark on a chase for symbolic horses against a background of the dying West. Shot on location in a long-ago Reno, the cinematography of Russell Metty captures the stark, haunting beauty of the Nevada desert. The Misfits is a poignant reflection on change, aging, and the loss of ideals with characters very much like the rest of us. These are the last performances of Gable and Monroe. Perhaps their best roles. We hope you will join us for this look at the past that tumbles into the present.

Celebrate 50 Years of Gloriana with our Summer Concert Series. Join us on the 3rd weekend of June for a classic experience! The first concert in the series will bring you back to the days of Gloriana Opera Company, with selections of music from The Pirates of Penzance, Fiddler on a Roof, West Side Story, and much more!

Ukiah poet Bill Churchill will read his poetry at the Willits Community Theatre on Saturday, June 20 at 7:00pm. Churchill is a multi-cultural and multi-lingual poet who writes equally well in English and in Spanish. He has been a California Poet in the Schools since 1998 and is a Poet Laureate Emeritus of Ukiah. In addition to the featured reading, there will be an open reading. Entry is by donation. Willits Community Theatre is located at 37 West Van Lane in Willits .
