Willits teachers union ask school board for a living wage

November 10, 2022 -- Members of the Willits Teachers Union appeared at the November school board meeting for the Willits Unified School District to demand the need for a living wage. Under the slogan of "Professional Pay For Professional Services" the union members, parents and students packed Willits High School's media center to present their discontent with the current situation at the school district.
Victor Palomino has worked with community radio stations in North Carolina and Kentucky producing local bilingual news stories. Originally from Colombia, Palomino has used community radio stations to amplify the voice of underrepresented communities and diversify community media. He was the Programming Director and Station Manager for RadioLex in Lexington KY, a bilingual community radio station where he created the foundations for the Spanish language news coverage. He joined KZYX in June 2022 as Bilingual News Director to continue the work of KZYX news team and expand the station coverage to the Spanish speakers in Mendocino county.
