Community Calendar

While we wait patiently for peak season... let's learn where our magnificent mushrooms like to live! Join Naturalist and Mycologist Mario Abreu for a visual presentation on mushrooms and their substrates, followed by a brief walk to find some examples in the Gardens. This class will explore common mushroom habitats with a focus on the associated trees. Mario will also cover how mushrooms benefit from trees, tree identification basics, which mushroom species are associated with certain trees, and more.

WHAT: It’s our birthday party! Dress up fancy if you’re so inclined, and bring your friends!
WHERE: Art Explorers Studio and Gallery, 333 N Franklin St., Fort Bragg
WHEN: First Friday, November 7, 2025, 5 - 6 pm

FESTIVITIES INCLUDE: Ceremonial ribbon cutting; Birthday cake; Door prizes; Open studio tour; $5.00 artwork mega sale; Meeting the Art Explorers themselves!

COST: Free! But we love birthday presents and donations of $25 are encouraged and gratefully accepted.

AFTER PARTY: At 6 pm, we will make our way down the street to Tall Guy Brewing for karaoke night. Singing is optional but the fun is contagious!
