Visit the Hopland Research and Extension Center for a day of learning and celebration of our local oak woodland ecosystem. The day's activities include the Amazing Oaks Tour lead by botanist Jen Riddell, Oak Woodland Guided Walk led by local naturalist, Kate Marianchild, nature journalling with artist and ecologist Robin Lee Carlson, and in the afternoon a performance of "And Who Shall Heal the Ground" a play where oak woodland creatures come together to help the oaks who are facing different threats, all narrated by our favorite oak woodland birds, Acorn Woodpecker and Scrub Jay.

Set up on the patio of the Rod Shippey Hall there will information and demonstration tables as well as an arts and crafts station featuring sun printing, stamping painting and games for all ages.
