JOIN US at the Mendocino Art Center on Friday, October 27 & Saturday, October 28 for the Native Arts Expo, a celebration of the rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions of Indigenous communities.

This vibrant and colorful event showcases the incredible creativity and talent of Native artists and provides a platform for them to share their stories, traditions, and perspectives with the wider community.

We invite you to be a part of this extraordinary gathering where we will be celebrating with the artists, their families, and friends. Immerse yourself in a world of culture, history and art!

Friday, October 27th Schedule:

10:00 AM: Opening Ceremony
Mendocino Art Center remarks
Welcome address by Bonnie Lockhart, representing the Sherwood Valley Band of Pomo Indians
Insightful remarks by Eric Wilder, Event Organizer
A discourse on "The Importance of Art in Preserving Culture" by Tori McConnell, the esteemed Miss Indian World 2023

Vendor Exhibitions:
Engage with our vendors, witness presentations, and partake in interviews.
Participate in hands-on art activities encompassing coloring, painting, and intricate weaving with tule.
11:00 AM - 4:00 PM: Exclusive Gallery Show

From a presentation by Noyo High School student mural artists at 11:00 AM to a performance by Hella Humble Tour Artists at 3:00 PM, the day promises a rich tapestry of events.
