A Hands-On Program

Verdant meadows, fluffy clouds, extravagant wildflowers – come experience the Zen of nature with zero hiking required. On Friday, April 17th at 3 p.m. the Ukiah Branch Library is pleased to introduce you to the therapeutic process of transforming downy wool fibers into miniature scenes of natural beauty with the cozy art of needle-felted landscapes. No experience is required – just curiosity, trust in the wool, and the willingness to stab it repeatedly to transform it into rolling hills or snow-laden mountains. Bring in a favorite landscape photo or find one on-line or in books at the Ukiah Branch Library. All other materials will be provided!

El viernes 17 de abril a las 3 p.m., la Biblioteca Sucursal de Ukiah se complace en presentarle el proceso terapéutico de transformar fibras de lana esponjosas en escenas en miniatura de belleza natural con el acogedor arte de los paisajes hechos con fieltro de aguja. No se requiere experiencia: solo curiosidad, confianza en la lana y la disposición a pincharla repetidamente para transformarla en colinas ondulantes o montañas nevadas.
