50th Annual Great Day in Elk
Great Day in Elk, a fundraiser for the Greenwood Community Center, is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a parade at noon, all day activities -- cake auction, contests and prizes including a grease pole with $100 bill at top, kids' crafts, music by the "Bring Joy" band featuring Sarah Larkin of "The Real Sarahs," food and drink. Dinner from 4-7 with garlic-lemon chicken or tempeh cutlets will be prepared by Chef Matt Samuelson of Spontaneous Cafe. The evening dance is from 6:30-11 p.m. with "Burning Down The House." Pizza is available.
