Victor Clark Alfaro, a native of Tijuana, study masters in social anthropology at the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) in Mexico City, and conducted doctoral studies in sociology at the University of California San Diego (UCSD). Professor at San Diego State University (SDSU); and Founder and Director of the Binational Center for Human Rights (in Tijuana). He has been a columnist for Pacific News Service (PNS) (1987-1991), columnist for the newspaper La Opinión (Los Angeles, CA) (1998-2003). Counsellor of the National Commission for the Development of Indigenous Peoples (CDI) (2004-06). Author of the books Los Mixtecos en la Frontera (Baja California) (1991); Mixtecos en Frontera (2009), and Avenida Niñas Heroes. Las Magdalenas de Tijuana (2014) (unpublished).
