Noviembre 14, 2022 -- En el programa de hoy nos enfocamos en el arte latino en el condado de Mendocino. Comenzamos con un reporte del taller de producción de podcast Haciendo Historia, Making History Latinos en Mendocino, seguido de una conversación con el artista visual mexicano recidentre en Willits Salvador Andrade.
Victor Palomino came to KZYX-Z after working in community radio stations in North Carolina and Kentucky. Originally from Colombia, Victor understands the ways that community radio stations can amplify the voices of underrepresented communities and diversify community media. He was the Programming Director and Station Manager for RadioLex in Lexington KY, a bilingual community radio station where he created the foundation for Spanish language news coverage. He joined KZYX in June 2022 as Bilingual News Director, left briefly to work at Radio Bilingue in Fresno, and returned to Mendocino County as the KZYX Public Affairs Director, working with 36 program hosts who cover everything from marine ecology to local politics. He is also the bilingual reporter for the KZYX News.
