September 30, 2020 — With wildfires a fact of life in northern California, it’s a good idea to document your assets. On Monday evening, the Mendocino Cannabis Alliance released a survey for licensed cannabis farmers to document losses due to any 2020 fires, from outright crop destruction to lost revenue from smoke damage.
The survey doesn’t have a deadline at this time, because it can take months to realize the extent of the loss. If respondents’ information changes, they can update the survey by emailing info@mendocannabis.com.
We caught up with Hannah Nelson, the interim policy chair for the MCA and a long-time cannabis attorney, for more details.
