March 18, 2020 — Mendocino County residents are living with a new directive to shelter in place, an unenforceable recommendation to venture out only if it’s absolutely necessary.
That’s the latest measure to prevent the spread of coronavirus, which currently has no vaccine, no proven drug regimen, and very few tests. It’s especially hard on elderly people. But isolation is also a major problem for elderly people. I stopped by the Ukiah Senior Center to talk with Executive Director Diana Clarke about how her organization is balancing the need to keep seniors connected and healthy.
