March 15, 2019 — Six new medical residents will be coming to Ukiah next year, for the second and third years of their post-graduate training. Their names and specialties were revealed at a lunchtime ceremony at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley Hospital on Friday afternoon. We’ll hear from Dr. Mimi Doohan, the program director for the new family medical residency program, as she talks about why it’s important to train family doctors in rural areas. We’ll also listen in on the big reveal, as she shares the new residents’ identities with an appreciative crowd.
The doctors-to-be were not present in person, but they will be the celebrity guests at the next Rural Health Rocks concert at Mendocino College on June 15.
