FIRST FRIDAY - Photo of the Month - Featured photographer John Birchard’s new image, Mendocino Sunset Panorama, 38” x 14” ultra-wide-pano landscape photo debuts starting First Friday, April 3rd, 2026 at the Mendocino Coast Photographers Gallery, Fort Bragg, CA. This exhibition continues all month.
Join us and have a look at the Featured Photo of the Month by John Birchard, snacks, lots of wonderful photos and ceramics and to meet the other members of the gallery.
Celebrate five decades of Mendocino Land Trust’s remarkable conservation legacy at the Kelley House Museum. This exhibit reveals "behind-the-scenery" stories through archival photos and documents that show exactly how your favorite trails, wildlife habitats, and hidden beaches were acquired and continue to be preserved. From its humble roots as a grassroots movement to its role as a cornerstone of local stewardship, you'll see the passion that keeps our home wild and wonderful. Join us to honor the enduring commitment that has protected the beauty and natural history of Mendocino for the last fifty years.Exhibit runs April 2nd 2026 – June 1st 2026 Museum hours: Thursday – Monday, 11AM – 3PM
The non profit organization, Mendocino Coast Jazz Society, hosts a "Jazz Jam" every Monday evening, from 6 to 9pm, at Tall Guy Brewing, 362 N Franklin St in Fort Bragg. Admission is free, and there is a Swing Dance lesson at 5pm

Drum Class 5:45-7pm then followed by Dance Class 7-8:30pm
~We study the same rhythm in both classes to learn it both with the drum and then the dance and study it for a full month to have the opportunity to ingrain.
~Come to drum class and follow it by dancing the same rhythm or stay and drum for the dance class. All people, all levels, all bodies are welcome

Mendocino Dance Project is offering free weekly dance classes for people with Parkinson's, their family members, and caregivers. Classes offer healthy and fun ways to build strength, coordination, balance, and stability all while using creativity and imagery to inspire movement. This program is made possible in part by The Community Foundation of Mendocino County’s 2025 Fund for Healthy and Inclusive Communities Grant.
