Willits Center for the Arts opens a traveling show High off the Land

Cannabis has a long and colorful history in Mendocino County, and it affects both residents and visitors in diverse ways. It has fueled our economy for years and has recently become legal. With 20/20 hindsight on half a century of local cannabis cultivation and use, it's time to speak about the different aspects of how it speaks to all of us. Willits Center for the Arts asked artists to visually interpret their own experiences with cannabis. This show will be May 6 through May 28, 2023, at Willits Center for the Arts. Then move to Art Center Ukiah in June, and Gualala Art Center in July 2023.

The opening reception will be May 6th from 6:30 until 9 pm. You can meet the artists at this time. Gallery hours are Friday-Sunday, 11 am until 5 pm.
