The Westport Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its Annual Fundraising Barbecue on Saturday August 15, 2026 from 11 a.m. until dusk. Have fun and enjoy great live music on the spectacular Westport Headlands, while helping support the Westport Volunteer Fire Department. Admission is free.

Live music will be provided by Burning Down the House, the Steven Bates Band, West of Nowhere, and Steven Bates solo.

Barbecued chicken and loaded baked potatoes will be for sale. Vegan chili will also be available. Beer and wine, coffee, sweets and non-alcoholic beverages can be purchased. Craft merchants will be selling their wares, and there will also be a silent auction of some very special items.

There will be plenty of fun activities for the whole family, including a bounce house and face painting. A medical helicopter from Reach/CalStar may pay us a visit if weather and availability cooperate. (Sorry, no dogs.)

The Westport Volunteer Fire Department provides year-round initial 911 emergency response service 24/7 for medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, traumatic injuries and fires on the Northern Mendocino Coast.
