Public Tour Nature Walk in the Willits Valley
Public Tour Nature Walk in the Willits Valley
We will take a 3 mile flat walk along Mill Creek and Outlet Creek listening and observing the birds and other wildlife in the Willits Valley. There are many juvenile birds being fed by adults and the Tule Elk might present themselves with their calves. Outlet Creek has American Beaver activity and River Otters are commonly seen there. We will pay attention to scat and tracks to see what has been there before us. The history and scope of the mitigation project is always discussed. Come and join Marisela de Santa Anna for a fun walk and talk. RSVP required since spaces are limited. Call or text 707-841-7172 or email at marisela@mcrcd.org Meeting at 8:30 am and ending at 1:00.
