LOBA POETRY SERIES
Monthly Poet Features & Open Mic

Join Ukiah Branch Library staff as we host poetry events in-person on the third Saturdays of each month at 3 p.m. This free event is open to both teens and adults. All are invited to share poems in any form or style or just listen to others. On October 18, we welcome Yiskah Rosenfeld.

Rosenfeld is the author of “Tasting Flight” (Madville Books, 2024), runner up for the Arthur Smith Prize and finalist for the Wheeler Books Prize, and “Naked Beside Fish” (FLP, 2024), an ekphrastic chapbook. Twice nominated for a Pushcart, awards include the Anna Davidson Rosenberg Award, the Reuben Rose Memorial Award, and prizes from December Magazine, Ocotillo Press, and Frontier Poetry. Most recently, she won the 2025 Prism Review Prize. Yiskah has taught poetry to youth in underserved communities and was an adjunct professor at Temple University in Philadelphia. She currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her teen daughter, dog, hamster, and too many baby Yoda figurines.

Únase al personal de la biblioteca de Ukiah mientras organizamos eventos de poesía en persona el tercer sábado de casa mes a las 3:00 p.m. Este evento gratuito está abierto para adolesentes y adultos: todos están invitados a compartir poemas en cualquier forma o estilo, o simplemente escuchar a otros. El 18 de octubre de 2025, damos la bienvenida Yiskah Rosenfeld.
