Mendocino artist, Felicia Rice and Ukiah poet, Theresa Whitehill, will host an event featuring their collaborative book project, Heavy Lifting with poetry, conversation and film. Soup will be served!

The Heavy Lifting Listening Tour took place at over 14 venues from early 2023 to late 2024, including 3 events on the Mendocino coast. For this year’s event, in addition to showing the experimental film, On Heavy Lifting, the focus will be on their creative work and or collective experiences during a time when the urgency of their original inspiration to document personal and collective crises has continued to intensify. A round-robin discussion will be part of the experience.
