The 46th annual "Great Day in Elk," a benefit for
the Greenwood Community Center, will be held on
Saturday, August 27. Starting with a parade at noon
through the North Coast village of Elk, the day's
festivities at the community center include carnival
games and crafts for children, live entertainment, belly
dancing, watermelon-eating contest and sack races,
fortunetelling, cake auction, silent auction and raffle,
and $100 grease pole contest. Food and drinks will
be available all afternoon.
Dinner by the chefs of Izakaya Gama of Pt.
Arena will be served from 4 to 7:00 p.m.
