Board Executive Committee Meeting 12/11/19

As a follow-up to our 11/19 meeting, Mr. Neal Roberts presented a proposal for KZYX to enter into an agreement with him that he will attempt to organize an approach to offering our listeners, and listeners of other public radio stations, an opportunity to create Self-Directed Donor Advised Funds. The value to us would be that our listeners would have a better vehicle for giving their donations to us (and to others), so we might get more donations over time. In return we would have air announcements about this every day during morning and afternoon NPR news. 

The agreement would begin when Mr. Roberts can get at least 4 other public radio stations to participate and can get a financial institution to manage the funds. At that point we would air the announcements for 6 months as a trial to see whether such an arrangement can work and be useful to us. We would have no further obligation after the trial period and could continue participation if we wish.

The Executive Committee discussed this and agreed to bring this to the full Board for the January meeting.
