Heavy rainfall is causing flooding in low-lying areas of the county with poor drainage. A flood advisory is in effect in Mendocino County until 5:30 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service, between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Up to an additional two inches of rainfall is expected.
Flooding is likely to occur in Albion, Boonville, Branscomb, Comptche, Fort Bragg, Guadalajara, Laytonville, Leggett, Navarro, Philo, Rockport, Willits, and Yorkville.
