California Second District Assemblymember Jim Wood.
With 54 days left to campaign, contenders for Jim Wood’s Second Assembly District seat convened at Mountain Mike’s pizza in Ukiah last night. The Inland Mendocino Democratic Club hosted five of the six Democrats in the race, leaving out Democrat Cynthia Click and Michael Greer, a Republican school board member and retired teacher from Del Norte.
Fifth District Supervisor Ted Williams, Santa Rosa City Councilman Chris Rogers and Healdsburg City Councilwoman Ariel Kelley crowded into the meeting in person.
Frankie Myers, the vice chair of the Yurok tribe, and Rusty Hicks, the chair of the state Democratic party, zoomed in for a discussion loosely centered around climate change.
