Fort Bragg Police Chief to request funds for programs to address substance abuse and homelessnes

September 11, 2023 — At the September 12 Board of Supervisors meeting at Saint Anthony’s Parish Church in Mendocino, the Board will focus on coastal concerns. That includes a presentation from Fort Bragg Police Chief Neal Cervenka about two recently developed programs to address the crises of homelessness and opioid abuse disorder. Cervenka spoke with KZYX last week about Project Right Now and the Care Response Unit, or CRU.
