Commission postpones firing range hearing; approves coastal cannabis permit application

The Mendocino County Planning Commission discussed guns and weed in a brief meeting that was notably low on controversy last week.
The four commissioners present approved an indoor cannabis grow on Outlaw Springs Road near the town of Mendocino, after hearing that the proposal meets all the legal requirements.
But a scheduled hearing on a permit for a firing range at Shamrock Ranch just outside Laytonville was postponed to a date uncertain.
