Treasurer-Tax Collector Auditor-Controller Chamisse Cubbison, from the April 18 Board of Supervisors meeting.
The Board of Supervisors agreed to “let the dust settle” before discussing a fiscal report they voted to request at the last meeting two weeks ago. At that meting, Supervisor Ted Williams, who is on a budget ad hoc committee, told his colleagues that Treasurer-Tax Collector Auditor Controller Chamisse Cubbison had said she believed the carry-forward from the last fiscal year could be $5.7 million, not the $2.2 million she had projected in previous meetings. IN the fiscal report that came in Monday night, the number was down again, to $3.9 million, though that is still not the final amount, as some departments are expecting state money to offset their expenses.
