The Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a proposal to build a subdivision of 171 single-family homes just outside Ukiah at their meeting on Tuesday.
The project was initially approved in 2007, under the name Gardens Gate, and included 197 homes. Chico-based developer Guillon Inc Construction took it up about three years ago and modified it. Thirty-nine of the homes will be limited to senior citizens, and 10% of the other homes will be set aside for moderate-income buyers. Santa Rosa-based Christopherson Builders plans to start building the homes next year.
