December 9, 2022 - KZYX news summer intern Ayled Zazueta is in South Africa doing a semester abroad and she sent us this letter from home about her experience.

Ayled will be back to Ukiah in mid December and we hope to have her back reporting for news team.

Victor Palomino
Victor Palomino has worked with community radio stations in North Carolina and Kentucky producing local bilingual news stories. Originally from Colombia, Palomino has used community radio stations to amplify the voice of underrepresented communities and diversify community media. He was the Programming Director and Station Manager for RadioLex in Lexington KY, a bilingual community radio station where he created the foundations for the Spanish language news coverage. He joined KZYX in June 2022 as Bilingual News Director to continue the work of KZYX news team and expand the station coverage to the Spanish speakers in Mendocino county.
