CHALLENGED and CENSORED Linda Pack reads selections from Banned Books!

Wednesday,  SEPTEMBER 1 at  8pm

On the next "For the Love of Reading” on Mendocino County Public Radio, KZYX&Z.

Linda Pack reads selections from Banned Books!
Hear what many people — over centuries — have NOT wanted you to hear!
Featured authors include:  Nicholas Copernicus, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Mark Twain, George Orwell, Ray Bradbury, AND James Joyce.

This program is in honor of Banned Books Week, an annual event sponsored each September by the American Library Association, celebrating the First Amendment and the Freedom to Read by spotlighting current and historical attempts to censor books in libraries and schools and highlighting the value of free and open access to information.
Radiogram will follow Linda's program on banned books with "The Power of the Novel: Reading Lolita In Tehran".
"Tales Of the Resistance" from the San Francisco Mime Troupe will air at 9:30.
