This year is the 40th anniversary of the Ukiah Symphony Orchestra, and the first season with their new Musical Director Dr. Phillip Lenberg. The 2019/2020 concert season begins in just two weeks on September 14th and 15th with a performance entitiled Black, Brown and Beige at the Mendocino College Center Theater in Ukiah. Dr. Lenberg selected the pieces for his first season at the helm of the Ukiah Symphony to strike a balance between classic and new work, with an emphasis on diversity and accessibility. All four concerts this season will feature soloists who are women, predominantly women of color.
