January 28, 2020 — Midway through his first season as director of the forty-year-old Ukiah Symphony Orchestra, Phillip Lenberg is working with combinations: old and new interpretations of modern and historical pieces, and his own roles in the community. Lenberg is also a professor of music at Mendocino College, and the next concert, Baroque Revisited, will include an educational talk about what the audience is about to hear. It’s part of his plan to engage on more levels with the local musical sensibility.

Baroque Revisited, featuring cello soloist Natalie Raney, will be at Mendocino College in the Center Theatre on Saturday, February 8, at 8pm, and Sunday, February 9, at 2pm. Cello soloist Natalie Raney and director Phillip Lenberg will start their talk about the music one hour before the performance.
