July 26th Kingston Rudieska - Everyday People

Jamaica and South Korea are about as far away from each other as two countries can be, but that hasn't stopped Kingston Rudieska from wholeheartedly embracing the music of the island. South Korea's most popular ska band is driven by a deep respect and great enthusiasm for Jamacian music. the nine-piece band draws on the jazz and punk backgrounds of their musicians in addition to ska lumineries like The Skatalites. Their songs are sung in Korean, backed by tight rhythmic transitions and a horn section that sounds like one instrument, but what stands out the most about this band is how much they enjoy what they do. Kingston Rudieskas latest album is Everyday People, the track we're hearing is What Do You Stand For?
