Ft. Bragg High School seniors to get a parade

May 27 — The class of 2020 is ending with a fizzle rather than a bang for a lot of students in the year of covid-19. Not so for the 118 seniors who will be graduating from Fort Bragg High School at 5pm on June 5 with a parade along a decorated route. The intense familiarity that students and faculty have developed with YouTube over the last two months of distance learning will culminate at the end of the parade, when students’ names and plans will be read aloud. That part will be filmed and live streamed on the Fort Bragg High School ASB YouTube channel. And all of Dana Street, including the Dana Gray field and the high school campus, will also be closed for filming. Nicole Nella, a Spanish and English teacher at the high school, and Naiyleah Arellano, the senior class president for the class of 2020, provide details, reflect on two months of distance learning, and talk about what’s next.
