The SIP Balancing Act: Mendo Coronavirus Update 5-4

KZYX
Dr. Drew Colfax

May 4, 2020--Mendocino County's number of confirmed cases remains steady at 12, with no new cases over the weekend. The national numbers have plateaued, but the US curve has not started to bend downward. California's Governor is talking about softening the statewide SIP order this Friday, while local Public Health officials have released a draft revised county SIP order to begin to reopen certain businesses and recreational areas on May 11. Dr. Colfax reflects on the balancing act between containing the spread of the virus and allowing people to get back to work in a safe manner, knowing that the death rate could double from the disease as a result of loosening SIP across the country.  And there is apparently a newly identified symptom called...Covid toes?
