Mendocino County CEO Carmel Angelo: April 10, 2020

April 10, 2020--Mendocino County CEO Carmel Angelo gives an hour long update on KZYX about the county's response to the coronavirus/COVID-19 public health emergency, with open lines for listeners to call with comments and questions. From March 4, when the Public Health Officer declared a county health emergency, to March 10 when it was ratified by the Board of Supervisors, the County has activated it's Incident Command Structure to manage the response locally. CEO Angelo leads the county's efforts as the Incident Commander, and will be coming on KZYX every Friday from 9:30am-10:30am to update county residents on the work being done not just to manage the spread of the disease but also to deal with the unintended consequences of Shelter in Place like the local economic downturn, protecting the homeless in the county, closing local parks, and many other issues.
