July 1, 2019 — There’s been a renaissance of Native American cultural practices in the last fifty years or so, according to Lyn Risling, an educator, artist, and California Native American woman who is part of that Renaissance. She was one of four women who spoke at the Grace Hudson Museum on Sunday, about the significance of traditional facial tattoos in a wide variety of Native California traditions.
