Mendocino Coast Jazz Society Jam Sessions Monday evenings, at the “Tall Guy Brewery” in Fort Bragg. The new brewery / brew pub is located on Franklin Street, across from City Hall in the old Sears Bld.
The proceedings begin at 5:00, with a dance lesson with Al, Mary, Sunshine and Glenn, for those so inclined.At 6:00 we start the live music, and play till 9:00. The brew pub has beer, wine and bar bites. All ages are welcome, and admission will be free.
The Jazz Society will make sure we have a swingin’ rhythm section, and we will be collecting donations to defray the cost.

2nd Hand Grass is playing a benefit for Paul Lacques, guitar player/singer for I See Hawks In L.A., a band we got to know last year after doing a show in Caspar. Paul passed after a long battle with cancer in January. We are doing this benefit to help out his wife Victoria, who is also the drummer for the band. $20 at the door.
No-host bar serving beer & wine to benefit Caspar Community. No outside alcohol please.

Lauralee Brown plays guitar and sings an eclectic array of classic standards along with original songs of her own, as well as those collected from many fine songwriters she has met over the years.
Playing on the Deck at Princess Seafood Restaurant, Lauralee will be performing selections from her recently released Album “Nature Of Belief” and will have CD’s available at these shows.
Come hear our enchanting a cappella versions of songs by the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder, and other great songs from the 1930s on.
Special guests Jason Kirkman, Jim Jackson, Eric Hillesland, and Randy Knutson add the magic of their voices to several numbers.
Free will donations gratefully accepted at the door and refreshment table. Proceeds to benefit the League of Women Voters of Mendocino County for their Youth Outreach Program.
Acoustic rock guitarist Clay Hawkins and bassist Andrew Robertson will play the Willits Community Theatre on Saturday, May 18 at 7:30pm. Blending rapid-fire fingerstyle slide guitar with the standup bass, the pair perform what's been described as Late Night, Boot Stomping, Road Music from the Heart. Their music takes listeners on a ride through backyards, back alleys, barns, barrooms and banquet halls. Tickets are $20 and available online at: www.wctperformingartscenter.org or at the door.

The Mendocino College Chamber Singers, directed by Janice Hawthorne TImm, presents "Promised Land", a choral concert featuring the Fauré Requiem with guest soloists and string quartet. The choir will also sing a set of arrangements of 19th century shape note tunes and there will a special performance by the Mendocino Camerata.This is a family friendly "relaxed audience" concert featuring classical choral music.
