True West, Sam Shepard’s searing tale of identity, rivalry, and the crumbling myth of the American West, runs for three weekends September 12 through 28 at Willits Community Theatre. Directed by Joshua Sternberg, this intense and darkly funny drama depicts brothers Austin and Lee reuniting at their mother’s suburban home, where the calm quickly unravels into a volatile battle of wills. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday matinees at 2pm. Tickets are $20, available at www.wctperformingartscenter.org or at the door.
