Sacred Flame: Indigenous Fireside Storytelling Series
Sacred Flame: Indigenous Fireside Storytelling Series
The lives of Indigenous People are woven into the fabric of our coastal community. Come to Jug Handle Creek Farm and Nature Center, get to know local tribal members, and listen to “Sacred Flame: An Indigenous Fireside Storytelling Series,” a year-long series of indigenous storytelling around the campfire. Open to all ages, locals and tourists alike.
The monthly series happens on the last Sunday of each month, upcoming one taking place on September 28th, from 7:00 to 8:30 with Eric Wilder, Kashia band of Pomo Indians, artist and storyteller. Dress in warm clothes and bring a folding chair or blanket to sit on, plus a flashlight. We suggest a $5 donation per person; admission is free for children ten years old and younger. Refreshments donated by Thanksgiving Coffee, The Good Life Café, Mendocino Tea Company and Harvest Market will be available for purchase.
