Introduction to Japanese Woodblock Printing with Walt Padgett June 14 & 15 10 am- 5 pm $225
Participants will be taught the basic tools, materials, and skills required to produce woodblock prints in the Japanese method, utilizing watercolor pigments. Everything will be provided. Each student will design & carve his/ her own block, and print the block collaboratively with other students to produce editioned and signed multi-block/ multi-color prints. No prior art experience is necessary, but students must be capable of using sharp chisels safely, or have an assistant.
