Death and Taxes - Unavoidably Swinging!

The Death and Taxes Swing Band will be presenting a Swing Dance at the Willits Center for the Arts Halloween Gala on Oct 28.

Only in the Bay Area could a group like the Death and Taxes Swing Band form. Created out of a love of live swing music, the group features seasoned professionals, overly enthusiastic young guns and a whole lot of energy. At the Willits Center for the Arts, they will perform a wide ranging selection of dance music from 40’s standards to 90’s swing revival hits.

The group is led by Rebecca Roudman, leader of the band Dirty Cello. Fronted by her sultry vocals and swinging string playing, she is backed up by a rhythm section that focuses on a danceable groove.

At the Halloween Gala,the Death and Taxes Swing Band will blast their way through songs that invite East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop and Jive dancing, all in the venerable and funky 1960’s era dance hall.
