June 18, 2020--This month's Pomo Perspective features Reno Keoni Franklin, the Chairman Emeritus of the Kashia Band of Pomo Indians and the Vice Chairman of the Sonoma County Indian Health Project.

Franklin was appointed by President Obama to the President’s Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, a position which he continues to hold today in the Trump Administration, to advise the President and Congress on national historic preservation policy.

He previously served as General Chairman of the National Association of Tribal Historic Preservation Officers (NATHPO) and on the Department of Health and Human Services Tribal Advisory Committee. He was Chairman of National Indian Health Board (NIHB) from 2009 to 2011 and Chairman of California Rural Indian Health Board (CRIHB) from 2007 to 2011.
