Update on Salmon, Pikeminnow in Eel River

September 16, 2019 — Autumn has arrived, a time of year when people start thinking about bringing in the harvest and the salmon, traditionally, have started running in the Eel River. This weekend was the salmon awareness festival and watershed education extravaganza in Hidden Oaks Park in Covelo. We checked in with local fish expert Patrick Higgins, with the Eel River Recovery Project, to find out how the salmon and the river are doing.
